Lukas: I use BATNA to empower people that you work with because it's like, I don't have time to do everything. Another point with BATNA is it doesn't have to be just one thing. So if the trade federation won't stop their blockade of the planet Nebu and won't come to the terms that I want to negotiate with them, then I could go back to the Galactic Senate and try to get their charter revoked. Or if they don't want to come to some kind of a trade agreement, I could see if I can find the chosen one on the desert planet and then blow up their spaceship problem solved.
