What Drew You to the Study of Number Theory?

Number theory is the study of whole numbers, with a particular interest in prime numbers. Why do you like the study of number theory? What drew you to it? I think i like that the questions can be so concrete. So it's fun for me to work on something that,. on the one hand, the questions are so concrete, but on the other hand, the puzzle of trying to solve it can be so difficult.
