The Role of Residential Homes in Children in Care
There are about 5,500 children in state care and 400 of these live in group homes. UCD did this research quite. How do they have a sense that this was going on? The study really said that these kind of men who as we said are kind of using sophisticated grooming techniques to try and befriend these young vulnerable girls. And the study also references social media and smartphones as an effective window into kind of constant access of offending to try groom them.
