Sextus - The Last Chapter of Scepticism

Sextus took pyro as a roll model and founder of the sceptical outlook, which he called pyranism. His writings were not very influential in subsequent centuries. Only when they were rediscovered in the sixteenth century did they make a sensation. They inspired pro and anti sceptical philosophical discussions from gasendi to hume.
