Is the Bank of England Going to Offset a Budget?

If the bank of england wants to show that it is serious about offsetting the inflationry impact of the government's tax curts, it will have to do that. That's what markets are expecting. So if it doesn't do that, it risks having an adverse market reaction. It may be doing the government's bidding. And certainly, presumably, that will stabilize the pound. Though, i think the bank of England is under enormous pressure to show thatIt's tough and that means quite high ingestrates pretty quickly.
