The teo obelisk was transported from the archaeological site of chavindhanta, where it has once stood in thecentre of the sunken circular plaza. The imagery carved into the granite obelisk deserves further consideration. We can see images of chili peppers, manioc and peanuts, as well as the images of snakes and camens. And this points towards a much more amazonian by a diversity than an endean one. There must have been some kind of cultural divergence.
