The Unconscious Collude of George Michael
As late as 1996, George Michael was still not public about his sexuality. That all changed two years later, and not on Michael's terms. In 1998, a police sting in Beverly Hills, California, snared him for solicitation. Years later, talking to veteran BBC interviewer Michael Parkinson, he mostly sounded bemused and relieved to at last be fully open with the public.
