How Does the Epistolary Work in a Book?

I like when an author tells me why they're picking a certain comp right to the magic and adventure elements of a marvellous light, epistolary elements of Richard Collins the betrayals. I'm still a little fuzzy on that from the copy so take another beat to like give me just a little bit more of a morsel of what we're getting into in the next few paragraphs. This is quite a dense pitch there's a lot of information here there's a lots of words here it's long it's worthy.
