The Catalog of the Textile Museums 2018 2019

The catalog as most exhibition catalogs do go much goes much deeper than the interpretation in the gallery can because we are limited on wall space so it's split into section thematic sections that go roughly chronologically. Our first four chapters are under the section heading the emergence of lace in early modern Europe and then our next section is about fashion and lace in Spain and the Americas between 1500 and 1800. Michelle and I co-wrote a chapter about lace and the lace industries in France Belgium and England between 1800 and 1925.
