Polar bears have no heat loss whatsoever at temperatures of like negative 50 Fahrenheit. The parts of their body that don't have this thick insulation and this blubber, the tail and the muzzle and the ears are adapted to be small because it's not as insulated with that blubber. So yeah, these guys are incredibly well adapted for their environment.
