The Covid Masks

The british museum has been collecting objects from the arctic for over 250 years. But i was curious to see whether it had collected material about an entirely new phenomenon, the covid pandemic. The director told me they decided to focus on face masks, but carrying a truly global variety of messages. Many are still in the plastic bags in which they were frozen on arrival in the museum and unwrapped by expert object handwer.
