Iliac Artery Flow Limitation

As many as 20% of professional cyclists may develop Iliac artery flow limitation at some point. It's a condition where the main artery feeding your leg is not able to deliver as much blood flow as is required during exercise. Not everybody is susceptible, and we still don't quite understand the predisposing factors. But again, broadly speaking, it's related to a hip flexion position on the bike.
