The Persistence of Control in Tech History

There is this constant refrain that continually sort of emerges across the history of the tech industry. This like continual flirtation with far right ideologies and with increasingly authoritarian modes of control. That history, I think is rarely brought to the surface in, you know, cultural histories of tech, but it's always there under the surface.
