The January 6th Committee's Decision to Spend Less Time on Security Failures
Jeff Mieden: I was pretty surprised by the extent to which the committee downplayed or in some instances, I would argue affirmatively misrepresented what happened. It reads to me as a decision to try to focus public attention on the figure of Trump individually. But it does mean that in my mind, this is kind of an unforced error on the committee's part.
