The Importance of Letters of Recommendation

Miriam, I use letters to help me picture the applicant. A transcript and test scores might tell me whether the applicant can handle the workload at Harvard Law School or in law school. Recommenders will often highlight graduate courses or upper level courses are particularly difficult and rigorous classes.
