Is Moore's Law a Good Idea?

The best I could do was about a 60% improvement and quite often the difference between her six-year-old laptop was about only 40%. Now if more slow were to be correct in the last six years we would have had two on a power of three. Moore's law is not doing that great if at all. Apple has the bar a lot higher for the industry especially with respect to how much compute you get out of a certain wattage and cooling in your system which is limiting what you can build into a laptop today.
