Two thirds of the economists at 23 large financial institutions that do business directly with the Federal Reserve are betting that the US will have a recession in 2023. Michael Zuckerman: Why does everyone, meaning two thirds of economists, why do people seem to think that there will be a recession? He says it's because everyone thinks there's going to be a recession and we're on the other side of an era of low rates and free money - Wall Street cares about cash flow; companies care about not overspending and laying people off. The market is expecting to maybe three more little rate hikes, so we'll see about that," he said.
