The Importance of Being Gay in Wyoming

Gene Simmons came out as gay in 1998, a few months after Matthew Shepard was murdered. He says he didn't think it would be the end of the world if people found out about his sexuality. The murder "opened up a lot of discussions that weren't had before" It's not like Wyoming is some paradise where you can get your ass kicked for being gay; there are still places where we can have the worst things imaginable done to us simply for our sexual orientation.
