The Unproductive Predatory Capitalism of the 1970s
The adoption of the neoliberal model after the crisis of the 1970s was always advertised that this is going to restore capitalism's productive dynamism. None of this happened for the simple reason that capitalism had already become monopoly capitalism almost a century before. So all the western economies to the extent that they adopted the neoliberal model began to see deteriorating economic circumstances growth rates everywhere were low investment rates were low etc.
