Abu Bakr and the Al-A'an-Hos
Abu Bakr freed women and slaves who had been tortured for becoming Muslims. One woman, Zunairah, was beaten until she lost her sight because of Allah and Uza - the two idols that were an insult to Islam. She said: "I swear by God, Allah andUza can't hurt anyone nor can they benefit anyone" The story is told in al-Mār-Rul-Al-A'an-Hos which means 'Our master', or his slave Bilal.
