Is There a Shy Chinese Culture?

In the States, there are a lot of people with the Chinese background. And in general, they seem pretty shy, right? And I guess when you were in China, you probably feel that too. Different countries have different levels of China's. You can go to Japan. Japanese are notoriously quiet. There's a language that is below language and it's more visceral. If you can figure out that language with almost anybody, it's one lesson that you learn around the world.
