The Importance of Salt in Winter
In Toronto, snow gets put on the sidewalks in winter. In Oslo, they use grit instead of salt. It's amazing to see the difference in winter maintenance between somewhere like Oslo compared to Toronto or really anywhere else in Ontario. There's just a different level of priority that's put on making it safe and convenient for people who are walking or cycling or taking transit or whatever.
