During the Arab Spring, graffiti created by women depicting women as heroes of revolution began popping up all over Cairo. So there were people who were tortured or humiliated by the regimes and they were meant to be translated into the victims. But in reality, like the nation, like the people who took part in the protest turned them into the heroes and visual icons.
