I think there is life everywhere out there. I don't think the chemistry will be different elsewhere. What is selected by chemistry will be determined by the environment, most likely. So how many chemistry problems have solutions that are life like to you out there in the universe? It's a wide open palette. But having this emptiness and unpredictability of uncovering a novel solution can also have its own benefits.
