God showed tremendous patience toward the people of Israel. He sends prophets and apostles. But again, God also had a purpose in hardening Israel. And he also had a good reason for hardening them because they traded in the truth for lies. Not because they were born hardened and dead and calloused and couldn't respond. It's a judicial act against somebody who freely rebels when they could have do otherwise. This is just hardened people arbitrarily for no apparent reason. No, we are hardens people for their rebellion and they could have done otherwise and they should have done otherwise. That doesn't make any sense. We all believe that something has to happen in order for us to believe in Jesus
