The Future of Deep Sea Mining

We are really trying to invent a different way of deep sea mining. When I saw what was being done and the fact that there was really no innovation for 50 years, it's the same architecture that was tested. We can do this with a fraction of the input by using very advanced technology. But environmentalists warn that there are ecosystems that could be destroyed. There's no free lunch. Any extraction industry will have an impact. I think our goal is to minimise that as much as we can.
