The Mismatch in Feedback
The key is to first and foremost, understand yourself. Just because you don't have 10 years working at a company as a designer does not mean you're incapable of collaborating or communicating. When it comes to interviewing, for example, you can talk about experience you had at school or even in your personal life. One thing that I often do in particular is Google interview with CEO's who use those two things: self-awareness and a little bit of language.
