Is the Open Office a Disaster?
The open office is a disaster for doing the kind of complex, cognitive work that is expected of us these days. We're absolutely wired to pay attention to whatever new things come into our our environment. That's not a tendency that we can shut off. And so what we need to do is use external space, external structures, to prevent that.
