Working on Just Changing Grips With as Best You Can
In jujitsu, you're really using grips sort of like this. And that's a lot of stress on the smaller parts of the joint. If you change your grip and grab more of the material, whether it's lapel or you're grabbing more of the stuff you've pissed over as opposed to the fingers curling and grip. That's one way to kind of give these the more distal joints a break there. With tape, I use a lot of tape. It doesn't prevent injury, but it does help to give you a little extra layer of support or bracing.
