The Importance of Contextualization

Bob Greene: I always emphasize with my students the importance of contextualization. God reveals truth about himself within a context, and he will speak within that framework. We can't necessarily project something that's in the New Testament back on the old because there is a progress of revelation that takes place as well. And so those are some other elements that I'd like to mention with regard to what John said. The great challenge is we try to get back into that world as much as we are able.
