The Importance of Authentic Choice
I remember a friend of mine who she in her diocese, I think it was like 16, but at the age of 11, she really felt this desire to be confirmed. And that was actually, this is somebody who actually had authentic choice if you're going to go with the choice thing. But then the priest was following diocesan policy or something and you have this bureaucratizing of the sacrament. Imagine if that priest had said, you know what, God wants you to have that too.
