The Resistance to Reading Training in Mississippi
Roshanda Harris Allen is a professor in the teacher preparation program at Tugulu College. She says she was never taught this stuff about language, not as part of her college education or her doctorate. A number of reports and studies show that many faculty members don't know the reading science. Louisa Moats: Mississippi is the only place I know of where college faculty are doing this.
