PUBS, Weatherspoon, Smith and Turner - What's Up?
Marston's was the pick of the bunch, I guess. They said that they had enjoyed a decent Christmas period with sales up by around 12.9%. But they all, of course, pointed to the difficulties with the cost increases across the sector as well. That will probably only increase as we go forward because I've read different estimates on this. London pubs and restaurants could be facing any energy rise of about 4.5 grand when the government pulls or at least reduces its support measures in the spring.
