The Role of Language in Human Life
The act of combining your intention with somebody implies that you have responsibilities to make it go okay. The idea of sanctioning deviant behavior in some sense is really very much done through language as a sort of one key point. But the other key point is that language itself is subject to all of this same kind of normative regulation.
