The US Government Is Warning About the Dangers of TikTok
TikTok is spending $1.5 billion to get this thing going and about a billion a year after that. They're also doing organizational things like coordinating off all of the folks who work on US user sensitive information into kind of a new business unit called the USDS. The people who are hired into this unit will go through high levels of security review, the company has said. And they're also appointing a three person independent panel to oversee the operations with all three of those individuals being signed off by the government.
