The Telltale Signs of a Soren Attack

Both sides in the Cold War continued to develop and stockpile chemical weapons on a large scale. Almost 200 states have now signed the Chemical Weapons Convention, which came into force in the 1990s banning not just the use of chemical weapons but also their manufacture and stockpiling. Only five states still haven't signed that convention: Angola, South Sudan, Egypt, North Korean, Syria. To join the convention, Syria has to decommission the entire stockpile - it could take some time.
