Is There a Way to Reproduce the Domestic American Landscape?

There's a way where these very close domestic political battles end up being reproduced, at least in the lens people are taking on the world stage as well. Do you think that the american political class can ever figure out a a way to reconcile their need for ideological legitimacy with a world where you just have different societies that don't need to be reconciled? It seems like we're getting, we're going in everything in the opposite direction. We're sort of putting more demands on what countries have to be in order to be legitimate.
