The Pros and Cons of Savings Accounts
A bank savings account just doesn't have very much risk. In some countries, it has no risk because of deposit insurance. It's pretty liquid, which means that you can walk into your bank to day and withdraw all your money. But those two things together mean you're not going to earn very much interest when you put your money into a savings account.
