What Happened at Ruby Ridge and Waco

The Waco siege was inarguably a cluster fuck on behalf of the federal government, which of course helped groups like the Fashions. Gradually, explicitly fascist white supremacist groups began to wrap their ideological clause around the militia movement and suck in ever more patriots. British journalist John Ronson was one of the few reporters who spent a great deal of time embedded with the fringe right during this period. He actually visited the ruins of the branch division compound several years after the siege, with Randy Weaver in tow. They wound up having a conversation with several members of the Michigan militia, who were there taking part in a vigil for the people who died at Waco.
