Vice Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson passed away, aged forty-seven. He wanted to ensure this exact phrase was the last to leave his lips and so he kept repeating it as long as he could. Shortly after four in the afternoon, the recitation stopped. No one would dispute that he had done his duty.
