I was struck in reviewing some of your essays and the lonely as the American by the concern that you had during the COVID-19 pandemic of anti-Asian backlash. And I wanted to ask which would affect people who are not necessarily Chinese since the, you know, a person might not be subtle enough in their perceptions to make distinctions. But there's a lot of talk about China about the confrontation or conflict or contestation between the US and China and so forth. How do you perceive the delicosity and ferocious character of some of the anti-Chinese rhetoric that we hear?
