Hugo's former partner, jamie, her family are indigenous first nation's people. She told him that these are ancestors like dancing in the sky and that's what the norther lights mean to them. Hugo felt a desperate urge to see the aurora again - maybe this time he wouldn't just see ancestors, but temilio shining down on him. Hugo was already taking photographs in his free time, of flowers, trees, people. So one evening, he picked up his camera, determined to capture the northern lights.
