The Importance of Investing in a Recession

We're supposed to be holding back on discretionary spending during inflationary times. But apparently we shouldn't, David tells us why. Take a look at what is happening in the US. Interest rates are expected to be around to the four or five percent. At the same time, you have inflation that is running at nine percent. So does it make sense to sort of sit on cash when it is losing real value at five percent a year? That doesn't make any sense to me. What you need to do is invest it. Now, obviously you do need some cash to one side because what we're actually facing now is not just inflationary projects, but recessionary projects.
