Forceman wrote up his self experiment and submitted it to a medical journal. Two american cardiologists read his old journal article and decided he was on to something. They turned cardiac cathetarization into a practical technique to investigate heart disease. In seven cases, including forcemen, it won them a nobel prize. In eight, it killed them. The odds of death and glory were roughly equal.
