The Edict of Expulsion of 1492
A lot of what the papal inquisition was looking for was when Jews tried to get them to reconvert or come back to Judaism. Rather than, as later on with the Spanish inquisition being busy with the actual converts themselves. The only reason for the expulsion of 1492 that is given in the actual edict of expulsion is that allegedly the unbaptized Jews are influencing the conveyor so's and responsible for their ongoing Judaizing and secret practicing of Judaism. And that's exactly what the inquisitors in the 1340s are accusing Jews of doing.
