The Blindness of Process Food Companies to Addictive Foods
CNN's John Sutter talks to food industry insiders about the dangers of snacking. He says companies intentionally create foods that hook people, but don't talk about it. One company in 1999 put caps on how much fat could be added to its products; engineers were "baffled," he says. 'I think where they try to draw the line is saying that we never intended to people that people pig out,' writes Sutter.
