The Amazon River Is a Tortured Metaphor.

The Amazon is 190 kilometres wide, but it's widest in the wet season. There are no bridges across the Amazon; they just go across on boats and stuff. Under the Amazon there is a sort of aquifer that is even wider,. even bigger, even bolder, even fresher. And then underneath you've got the Secret Underground River. You can only get to it if you defeat an Aztec boss on the fire level or Prince Andrew.
