Menstrual Cycle Dysregulation?

The most complicated factor of diet recovery is the menstrual cycle. We know what does it, but the question is how long will it take and to what extent do we have to regain weight and increase calories? I remember a study, you know, leptin is a cheat code, right? So reductions in leptin are driving the vast majority of what we call metabolic adaptation. And there's studies to indicate exogenous leptin is very effective for reversing metabolic adaptation. But even studies using exogenous leptin with lifestyle interventions, when you look at the time course of when the menstrual cycle is recovered in women who have very low energy availability, the variability is enormous.
