The families of the five victims were allowed to present tributes to their loved ones. The alberta view board will then determine whether matthew is still a risk to the community - if n c r he'll likely end up getting released much sooner. If the determination is n c r, the matter is dealt with as a medical issue in a secure psychiatric facility instead of a criminal issue dealt with in jail.
