Bananas Are Under Attack From Panama Disease
Bananas are under attack from a virulent form of a lethal fungal infection called Panama disease. There's no cure or effective antifungal treatments, so this fruit which is a staple food for almost a billion people could become extinct. Researchers at the University of Exeter might have a solution in the form of a new anti-fungal treatment. Risa Bagwanden talks to plant pathologist Professor Saragar.
